A branch is built,
not bought.
Ground and account base
Started on the street, selling building materials and construction supply to general contractors and subcontractors across the Birmingham market. Million Dollar Sales Club recognition as a top individual producer. Every relationship the branch later grew on was opened in these years, one jobsite at a time.
Twenty years in the trade.

Designed the sales training program and commission structure that governed how the team prospected and closed. How the number actually moves.
Hire for the jobsite, train on the floor
Recruiting and training were never handed off. The reps who carried the branch from $8M to $20M were hired for territory fit and trained personally, to one standard, so a contractor got the same answer from any name on the team.
Growth that costs margin is not growth
Owning full P&L and pricing for a $20M distribution business means every point of top line gets tested against what it cost to win. Profit rose 300 percent alongside 150 percent revenue growth because price discipline held through the climb.
Structure is what makes it repeat
Territory coverage, account priorities, a training program, and a commission plan that pays for the right behavior. Building those for a startup as VP of Sales proved the branch result was a system, not a market.
